Over 1 Million Dollars of Collectible Car Parts up for Auction

Friday, May 23rd, 2014

Wayland, Michigan (PRWEB) May 07, 2014

Cars now-a-days are not made like they once were, and when we see cars made many years ago we tend to stare in awe of the beauty, especially the parts that make up those cars. Many people will collect cars to preserve their beauty and show them off from time to time, especially in competition, and this is exactly what Al Maynard of Clinton Township did. Mr. Maynard custom built engines costing up to $ 100,000 and owned many one of a kind parts and components. His family has decided to give car enthusiasts a chance to purchase these rare items via an online auction.

The year was 1962 and this was the year where it all started. Al Maynard started his lifetime journey into competitive cars and became a member of the Competition Car Club. Al was very competitive within Car Clubs especially showing off his pride and joy, a 1957 Chevy sponsored by Standard Auto Supply.

In 1975, Als life was changed when he was honorably elected by MHRA to become the show chairman for the Detroit Autorama, and from then on accomplishments continued to pour in for Al Maynard. In 2002, Al was honored to be one of the 50 people to “Make a Difference” which contributed greatly to the success of the Detroit Autorama.

Al received many additional accomplishments in his lifetime such as being inducted into the Circle of Champions at the 2011 Detroit Autorama along with being honored at the Concours d’elegance of America show. Al also was given the honor of being the first person to have a registered class (Muscle Cars) to bear his name, an accomplishment that will never be forgotten.

Al Maynard bared knowledge of car parts and engines that would impress anyone, so much so, that in the 80’s, Super Chevy Magazine wrote a story featuring Al and some of his rare engines. With the passing of Al Maynard, he left behind thousands of auto and engine parts, with a large quantity of them being mostly new or like new. This extensive and highly sought after inventory of collectible and classic auto engine parts will be sold over a series of online only auctions.

These auctions feature so many great items that the entire collection will be held on three different days. The first auction (of 3 total) will take place via Orbitbid.com on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 and will feature thousands of items located at 3450 12th Street Wayland, MI 49348. The 2 following auctions are scheduled for May 20 & May 27, 2014.

These Featured Online Auctions will start at 8:00 a.m. and will begin closing at 6:00 p.m. the same day of each sale. Preview day will be on Monday, May 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as well as sale day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Staff will be on-site with free wireless internet access to assist in bidding if needed.

Items selling on the online auction will include: 1000’s of auto parts (mostly new or like new), Mickey Thompson engine (1 of 2 known to exist), Proto-type Hemi Motor (one of 3 made), 1968 & 1969 Camaro/Chevelle/Corvette engine parts, 68/69 Camaro heads, Corvette blocks (starting with 1963), 870 Corvette motors & blacks, rare Corvette steering wheels, original automotive radios and much more.

Real Estate Investors Gather in Pittsburgh

Tuesday, May 20th, 2014

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) May 19, 2014

Tuesday, May 20th is the date for the monthly meeting of the Pittsburgh Real Estate Investors Association. The Pittsburgh REIA is a club dedicated to investor education; membership is open to anyone.

The Pittsburgh Real Estate Investors Association is comprised of real estate investors and individuals who wish to learn how to make money with real estate investing techniques. The group holds one main meeting per month. This meeting is always held on the third Tuesday of the month. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting ends around 9:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.

The main meeting is built around one or two blocks of educational content. This month, the main topic will be sheriff sale opportunities, and how the Allegheny County sheriff sale process works. A veteran real estate investor will be teaching the class. The presentation will guide students through the entire sale process, starting with property evaluation. At the conclusion of the class, attendees will gain a familiarity with the sheriff sale process as it exists in Allegheny County.

A number of additional topics will be discussed during this meeting. These topics include how IRA holders can partner with real estate investors to make money tax free, building a buyers list for wholesalers, and how crowd funding can be used in real estate investing.

The future schedule for main meeting topics is very diverse. Already on the schedule for 2014 are classes in buying houses with no money, creative financing techniques, improving cash flow as a landlord, how to raise private money, buying defaulted notes, building a business, a mock eviction trial, and using social media to find real estate deals.

In addition to the monthly meetings, Pittsburgh REIA members have access to a number of sub-group meetings throughout the month. These sub-groups expand learning opportunities into a variety of niche investment opportunities. Some of the more popular sub-groups are the commercial real estate group, the wholesalers group, the private mentoring group, the landlord group, and the cash flow group. There are a number of other special interest groups, and the roster of sub-groups is only limited by the creativity of the membership.

Club members are also entitled discounts at many local and national service providers. Companies like Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, Sherwin Williams, and Office Max provide valuable discounts to club members.

Novice real estate investors can test the waters at no cost. The club produces a weekly newsletter which is delivered via email to anyone who wants it. People who are interested in learning how to use real estate investing techniques as a gateway to financial freedom are encouraged to attend a group function. First time guests are welcome to attend this event for free. Visit PittsburghREIA.com for more information.

The fun part was watching the raw data turn into something really neat. As a real estate appraising company, there’s not much you can do to wow people, but compared with other appraising websites, WOW. Our new website is fantastic!! We love it!”

Really appreciated the patience Idea had with us as we sent over revisions and suggestions. And how quickly they were made. Also appreciated their patience as we switched servers and some of the issues we had; Idea offered suggestions and stepped in where possible.”
