Southfield, Michigan (PRWEB) February 28, 2013

MRPR Group CPAs & Advisors is pleased to announce that two firm members will be filling important roles with the Transportation Club of Detroit. Both of these gentlemen have experience working in the Transportation industry and have distinguished themselves as trusted advisors amongst the TCD and other transportation organizations by sharing their knowledge and understanding of the industry and its operations.

The fact that the TCD accepted their nomination and then appointed both Greg and Wyatt to these important positions shows the great level of respect the organization has for MRPR and their familiarity with the Transportation industry.

MRPR is an accounting firm, but seeing Greg and Wyatt in actionyou wouldnt know itthey fit right in! says Harry Zoccoli, Past TCD President and Board Member. They show up and get involved with the Club. I am pleased to see that they are stepping into these leadership positions.

Greg Zink, Principal, has been with MRPR since 1985. Over the years, Greg has gained a special expertise in the trucking industry and has developed a transportation practice within the firm. He has been active in the TCD for four years and is also a member of the Michigan Trucking Association.

Wyatt Sweeney has been working as Manager of Business Development for MRPR Group since 2008. Throughout his tenure, he has worked extensively with Greg on enhancing MRPRs presence within the transportation community. Wyatt has also been an active member with the TCD for four years.

The TCD is a great organization with a great nucleus of members that truly care and promote the Transportation industry in the Detroit region, says Zink. The Clubs goals include providing scholarships to college students ($ 30,000 this past October) and giving TCD members an avenue to participate in the clubs community efforts and events. Long-term goals include supporting initiatives such as transforming the Detorit region into a transportation and logistics hub which Wyatt and I have been promoting as well.

The Transportation Club of Detroit is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Livonia, Michigan. The club, which is organized on a membership basis, exists to promote and encourage the highest standards of education and technical competence among the members of the transportation industry.
